Policy Title: Academic Honesty and the Honor Code

Policy:

Every student is expected to affirm that they will abide by the institution Honor Code, which states: “I will act with honesty, and I will communicate with respect.” This code creates an environment in which any evidence of an intent to deceive may be investigated as academic dishonesty.

Academic dishonesty in any form will not be tolerated and is grounds for immediate dismissal from the program and other administrative action. Any accusation of dishonesty, or perceived intent-to-deceive, may be investigated by the Teaching Team. The Teaching Team, at their sole discretion, may take action to assign consequences, which may include a range of possibilities including expulsion from the program.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

*Plagiarism

Involvement of a third-party to influence course outcome

Cheating in any form

Falsification or forgery of academic documents, applications, clinical evaluations, lab evaluations, etc.*
