Active Records

Active Records are those that have immediate and current value to a unit, department, or division of the institution.

Archival Records

Archival Records are those which no longer have current value to a unit, department, or division of the institution but retain historical, legal, or other institutional value.

Inactive Records

Inactive Records are those which no longer have current value to a unit, department, or division of the institution but have not yet been held longer than the stated retention policy for the record type.
