Policy Number: 02.01.001

Policy Title: Admission

Status: Active

Policy:

Admission is the state of being approved to enroll or remain enrolled in a course or program. A candidate who has gained admission is said to be admitted. Admission is continuously tested and may be revoked at the sole discretion of the institution for any reason.
Recruiting and Admissions staff utilize Admissions policies and procedures to facilitate the evaluation of student applications to determine which candidates will be admitted. Applications requiring special consideration will be escalated to the Leadership Team, which may choose to consult with the Medical Director or other appropriate stakeholders to act as the final admission-authority. The Leadership Team will designate a manager or managers for Recruiting and Admissions staff.

The goal of admissions standards is to assure that the institution enrolls only those students who are reasonably capable of successfully completing and benefiting from the educational offering. Notification of admission does not guarantee that a candidate will be eligible for enrollment.

The institution may rescind an offer of admission or revoke a student’s admission at any time. Reasons for a rescinded offer of admission or revoked admission may include, but are not limited to, poor affect, inability to navigate the enrollment process without struggle or significant assistance, dishonesty, poor grades, disciplinary infractions, violations of policy, etc.

If the institution chooses to enroll a student who does not meet the admissions criteria, the institution will document the reason(s) for the exception to the admissions criteria.

The institution will admit students without regard to race, color, national origin, disability, sex, or age. The institution will attempt to reasonably accommodate applicants and students with disabilities to the extent required by applicable laws.

All application material submitted must be accurate to the best of the applicant’s ability. Any erroneous, misleading, or incomplete information may be grounds for the rejection of an application, recension of admission offers, or revocation of admission or enrollment status.
