Policy Title: Identity Verification

Status: Active

Policy:

The institution is committed to maintaining the integrity and security of its academic programs. To verify the identity of individuals enrolling in courses and programs, all prospective students are required to complete a multi-factor authentication process. This involves providing a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport, during the application process. Additionally, students must set up a secure login with a password and must also attest that they will not share this information with any other party. Biometric measures, such as facial recognition, may also be employed for certain programmatic accesses to the learning systems.

Once enrolled, students must authenticate their identity before proctored examinations or assessments and are also required to log in to the LMS through a secure portal. The institution reserves the right to perform random identity checks to prevent fraudulent activity, and non-compliance with identity verification processes may result in administrative holds on student accounts, disallowance from course participation, and could lead to further investigation.

The institution prioritizes the privacy of personal information and complies with all applicable laws and regulations concerning data protection. The identity verification data collected is strictly for institutional use and will not be disclosed to third parties without consent, except as required by law. The institution employs advanced security measures to protect stored data and will regularly review and update its security protocols to combat emerging threats.
Students have the right to access their personal information held by the institution and may request corrections to any inaccuracies in accordance with the institution’s data protection policy.
