The institution utilizes automatically graded items for most assignments and assessments, which limits faculty/instructor subjectivity. For all manually graded assignments, rubrics and answer keys are utilized to ensure that faculty/instructors have limited ability to be subjective. Face-to-face evaluations for physical or psychomotor assessments also utilize rubrics. In these psychomotor evaluations, a nationally standardized expectation has been set by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, which the institution follows.

The Teaching Team is responsible for ensuring that items are graded accurately, fairly, and consistently, whether by faculty, instructors, or automated grading systems.

When numeric grades or letter grades are required, the institution uses the following scale:
