The institution courses are not self-paced; however, the courses employ adaptive learning technologies, and are therefore highly personalized for each student. The institution publishes an “Average” completion time for each course and a Maximum Course Duration (MCD) time for each course.

Students who are approaching the Maximum Course Duration, or who are experiencing exceptional life circumstances, may request an extension of up to 150% of the MCD.

In order to be eligible for an extension, the student must:

1. Be financially current on all payments to the institution
2. Have not exceeded more than 30 consecutive days without logging into the system
3. Articulate both the reasoning for lagging behind, a clear rationale for how the situation will be improved during the requested later time frame, and an anticipated schedule of completion.

An extension to the MCD may be made any time prior to the end of the MCD by emailing support@axoneducation.com. A decision regarding the request will be made at the sole discretion of the Teaching Team.

Specific Courses Parameters:
EMT-B: Average Time = 18 weeks, MCD = 26 weeks
Advanced EMT: Average Time = xx weeks, MCD = xx weeks
