The word "guarantee" may not be used in institutional advertisements unless it is used to explicitly communicate that no guarantees are present as in the case of a disclaimer.

The word "free" should be avoided in institutional advertisements. A determination to use the word "free" should be vetted carefully and documentation should be established that provides a clear justification for the use of the word based upon the institution's mission and purpose.
