Instructors are the key to the educational process and numerous responsibilities appear throughout this handbook. However, the primary responsibility of the teacher is to carry on an instructional program characterized by defined objectives, appropriate methods to achieve those objectives, and evaluation based on the objectives. The primary relationship between Axon employees and students/customers derives from the teaching/learning process rather than from mutual friendship. This is done in an atmosphere of free inquiry, free of gender and racial stereotypes, with strong encouragement toward independent and critical thinking, as well as encouragement for cooperative and collaborative work.
