Admission Status
Conditional Admission – Conditional Admission is achieved upon a candidate’s demonstrated compliance with a pre-defined set of Admission Standards. In EMS programs/courses Standards one (1) through seven (7) are considered Admission Standards. Students may begin coursework upon achieving Conditional Admission status while continuing to demonstrate the completion of Compliance Standards. Calculations related to financial obligations, refunds, Maximum Course Duration, Instructional Period, due dates, etc. are calculated strictly from the date of Conditional Admission. All financial obligations, refund calculations, deadlines, due dates are calculated using the date of Conditional Admission.
Full Admission – Full Admission is achieved when all Admission Standards have been met including the Compliance Standards. In EMS programs/courses Standards eight (8) through eleven (11) are considered Compliance Standards. Because it is the student’s responsibility to achieve Full Admission, failure to achieve Full Admission status does not impact financial obligations or the assignment of grades.
Continuing Admission – Continuing Admission is tested at the institution’s sole discretion to determine if the student remains compliant to the Compliance Standards. Continuing Admission may be tested at any point during the student’s tenure but is most commonly tested in programs, or combinations of programs/courses that have a duration longer than 12 months and require ongoing clinical experiences or field experiences. In EMS programs/courses Standards eight (8) through eleven (11) are considered Compliance Standards. Because it is the student’s responsibility to maintain Continuing Admission, failure to maintain Continuing Admission status does not impact financial obligations or the assignment of grades.
Students or alumni who have completed Axon programs/courses within the preceding 12 may be re-admitted under Continuing Admission requirements. Similarly, the institution may, on a case-by-case basis, choose to allow any Axon alumnus to demonstrate certain Admission Standards through previous admission attempts.
