Employees are encouraged to use informal or customary reporting channels for reporting believed instances of discrimination or harassment when possible, however employees may choose to file any grievance related to discrimination or harassment directly to the Chief Executive Officer. Employees with formal grievances related to discrimination or harassment should report the incident in writing within 30 days of the incident. Any employee in a supervisory role learning of allegations or perceived instances of discrimination or harassment are required to report the incident to the Chief Executive Officer.
Grievances related to employment terms, contracts, general work environment etc. should be directed through formal reporting channels.
The institution will abide by federal and state regulations requiring “mandatory reporting”, however in all other cases employees are required to maintain confidentially of the circumstances of the grievance as it relates to individuals or organizations outside of the institution.
